Nature biome abilities were added with a /nature command. Players can list natures, choose one for themselves, check their info, and trigger their active ability. Passives only apply while standing in one of the nature’s biomes, and abilities can only be used in those biomes to keep the gameplay tied to the environment.

Current natures and feel:

  • Savanna: passive Resistance I; ability “Armadillo Hide” grants short Resistance IV and Absorption (45s cooldown).
  • Desert: passive Fire Resistance and Haste I; ability “Sand Sprint” gives Speed III, strong Haste, and light Resistance (40s cooldown).
  • Ocean: passive Water Breathing and Dolphin’s Grace; ability “Tidal Burst” gives Dolphin’s Grace, Conduit Power, and Speed (35s cooldown).
  • Forest: passive Regeneration I; ability “Verdant Bloom” provides Strength, Health Boost, and brief Saturation (50s cooldown).
  • Tundra: passive Slow Falling and Strength; ability “Blizzard Cloak” grants Invisibility, Speed, and Resistance (55s cooldown).

Important details:

  • Player choices are saved in config.yml under players:; changing a nature clears ability cooldowns.
  • Passive effects refresh automatically while in a matching biome; leaving the biome lets them fade naturally.
  • Abilities require being in a matching biome and respect per-player cooldowns; feedback messages explain what’s happening.

Limitations and future ideas:

  • There’s no GUI or permission gating—any player can swap natures freely via the command.
  • Cooldowns and effect strengths are fixed in code; external configuration could make tuning easier if needed.
