Ocean physics now runs fully on the server, giving open water a rolling sea state with swells, chop, tides, and slow currents that affect swimmers and boats.

  • Swells, cross-sea chop, and a slow tide cycle are procedurally seeded from the world so motion feels stable across sessions.
  • Horizontal drift and gentle lift are applied to all living entities in water; fall distance is cleared so bobbing does not cause fall damage.
  • Boats ride the same flow with extra push but capped top speed so steering still feels responsive.
  • Shallow/coastal water is calmer than the open ocean, and only the overworld is touched.
  • Server-only: drop the jar in the Fabric server mods folder and restart; clients remain vanilla.

Notes and limitations:

  • Water blocks are not raised or lowered—the surface look stays vanilla while motion comes from velocity nudges.
  • Currents are strongest offshore; ponds and rivers see lighter influence.
  • No config UI is shipped; tweak strengths and timings in OceanPhysicsManager if you want a rougher or calmer sea.
