Survival Sensei Mod Notes
- Survival Sensei now runs on both client and server sides, watching the player’s survival context and only speaking up when risk is meaningful. It scans health, hunger, nearby hostiles, armor/weapon quality, time of day, food/torch/block reserves, and cliff proximity to warn before trouble hits.
- Advice comes with three suggested actions (fight, retreat, hide) and estimated success percentages. Messages adapt to four personalities: wise, tactical, minimalist, and a silent action-bar style for low-noise play.
- The assistant learns from deaths: repeated falls, starvation, or mob defeats raise future caution in those situations and trigger earlier warnings (e.g., edge alerts after fall deaths).
- Smart silence keeps chatter down by gating alerts behind a risk threshold and a cooldown between messages; creative/spectator players are ignored entirely.
- Commands:
/sensei profile <wise|tactical|minimalist|silent>to switch tone, and/sensei statusto confirm the active style. - Implementation notes: polling runs every ~2 seconds; armor/weapon/food/torch counts help refine the probability hints. Personality choice and learning are kept in-memory for now (they reset on server restart).
- Dependency note: Cobblemon is included as a compile-only dependency at 1.7.1 (1.21.1 build) since no 1.20.4-targeted artifact is published; the mod’s code itself remains vanilla-safe and avoids Cobblemon APIs.
