hytaleServer2026.1mod

Airplanes mod (server)

What it adds

  • Medieval-flavored airplanes: the heavy sky_galley and nimble windrider glider frames.
  • Plane-mounted gun support through the gun_carriage item; guns draw on alchemical_oil fuel.
  • Crafting components: canvas_wing panels and oak_propeller hubs.
  • Extra ranged options: ranger_crossbow and heavier bombard_crossbow.
  • Travel rations: smoked_sky_meat and berry_travel_cake.

How it works

  • Custom items and recipes are registered at startup via the Hytale asset stores; everything is available in regular crafting where ingredients exist.
  • Fuel demand is represented with the fuel quality on gun_carriage and the airframes, and by using alchemical_oil in related recipes.
  • Airframes use glider tuning to deliver flight-style handling without breaking the medieval vibe.
  • Crossbows include pullback positioning for a tighter first-person feel.

Crafting highlights

  • Wing panels: planks + string + leather → canvas_wing (x2).
  • Propeller: canvas_wing + iron ingots → oak_propeller.
  • Fuel: coal + honey bottle → alchemical_oil (x2).
  • Mounted gun: iron ingots + crossbow + alchemical_oilgun_carriage.
  • Sky Galley: wings + propeller + gun_carriage + extra fuel → sky_galley.
  • Windrider: wing + propeller + crossbow + fuel → windrider.
  • Crossbows: iron/wood/string for ranger_crossbow; upgrade with iron block + fuel for bombard_crossbow.
  • Food: cooked beef + fuel for smoked_sky_meat (x2); sweet berries + bread + honey for berry_travel_cake (x2).

Notes & suggestions

  • Icons/textures use the built-in placeholder texture; swap in custom art for production.
  • Recipes reference common material IDs (planks, iron, etc.); adjust to your server’s item set if names differ.
  • Fuel quality is tracked on items but behavior depends on your server’s ruleset; hook into firing logic if you want stricter fuel consumption.
