Banana Kingdom Mod Notes

What it adds

  • Flying Banana tool that throws banana projectiles, glides you with slow falling, and inflicts levitation/ants static on hit.
  • British Knife weapon with boosted attack attributes and weakness procs; comes with a custom spawn egg for Rotten Banana foes.
  • Rotten Banana mob (spawn egg) that hunts players, screams, and drops a flying banana when defeated.
  • Bananium Turret block that targets nearby monsters and launches banana bolts; can be charged by interacting.
  • Floatland Anchor block that builds a small floating island of Floatstone with a turret perched on top.
  • Industrial Pipe block entity that pulls one item at a time from behind and pushes it forward or drops it in front.
  • Circuitry Ant Nest block that reacts to redstone power, emits redstone levels, sprinkles ant-like particles, and inflicts the “Ants on the Circuitry” effect.
  • Horn of the Banana Kingdom that triggers a takeover: buffs nearby players with Banana Spirit and plants turrets around you.
  • Banana Tablet with Arabic writing in its tooltip/message; Fish With Legs consumable that spawns a named silverfish and gives jump + swim boosts.
  • Status effects: Banana Spirit (regeneration and soft landings) and Ants on the Circuitry (jittery movement/hissing sounds). Custom scream/turret fire sound events are wired to ghast/warden and beacon/arrow audio.

How to use it

  • Craft or give yourself the items: flying banana, British knife, horn, banana tablet, fish with legs, floatland anchor, industrial pipe, circuitry ant nest, bananium turret, and the rotten banana spawn egg.
  • Place a floatland anchor to instantly generate a hovering Floatstone island with a turret guard.
  • Drop bananium turrets in bases; right-click them to speed up their firing cadence.
  • Run industrial pipes between containers; face the pipe toward the destination and it will siphon from the opposite side.
  • Power circuitry ant nests with redstone to sprinkle “ants” and give nearby players the jittery debuff; they also emit redstone power while active.
  • Use the horn to start a takeover surge—turrets appear in a ring and players gain Banana Spirit.

Implementation notes

  • Textures reuse vanilla assets for quick visibility; sounds are mapped to existing ghast/warden and beacon/arrow clips via sounds.json.
  • Attribute modifiers use the new 1.21 data component system; items/blocks rely on Fabric API 0.116.5 for registries and render hooks.
  • Floatland generation is deterministic on placement only (no natural worldgen); turrets and pipes are ticking block entities.

Known limitations / future ideas

  • No natural world spawning for rotten bananas—use the spawn egg or commands.
  • Models reuse vanilla visuals; custom art could better fit the banana theme.
  • Industrial pipes are simple single-stack movers and ignore sided inventories.
