Overview

Cobblemon Spawn Controller gives server admins full control over which Pokémon can spawn in each biome. Perfect for creating custom servers, themed events, or adjusting difficulty levels without needing to restart your server!

How to Use

All commands require OP permission (permission level 2).

Add a Pokémon to a biome

/spawnpool <biome> add <pokemon> <rarity>

Example: /spawnpool minecraft:ocean add charmander ultrarare

Rarity options: common, uncommon, rare, ultrarare

Remove a Pokémon from a biome

/spawnpool <biome> delete <pokemon>

Example: /spawnpool minecraft:ocean delete charmander

Add ALL Pokémon to a biome

/spawnpool <biome> add all

Gives every Pokémon a common spawn rate in that biome.

Remove ALL Pokémon from a biome

/spawnpool <biome> delete all

Clears the biome's custom spawn pool completely.

Reset a biome to defaults

/spawnpool <biome> reset

Restores the biome to Cobblemon's original spawn settings.

List current spawn pool

/spawnpool <biome> list

Shows all custom Pokémon added to that biome.

Tips & Tricks

  • Event servers: Use add all to create chaos events where any Pokémon can spawn anywhere
  • Themed worlds: Remove all Pokémon from a biome, then add only water-types for an ocean-themed challenge
  • Difficulty scaling: Make legendaries ultrarare in specific biomes for end-game content
  • Biome IDs: Use the full ID like minecraft:plains or cobblemon:aurora_biome

Known Limitations

  • Pokémon must exist in your Cobblemon version - invalid names are accepted but won't spawn
  • The mod integrates with Cobblemon at runtime - if Cobblemon isn't loaded, spawn modification won't work (commands still function for data management)
