Depthwalker Mod

Overview

Depthwalker expands your Minecraft world's depth down to Y=-1024, creating massive underground caverns to explore. The deeper you go, the more ores you'll find and the more dangerous mobs become. At the very bottom, you'll discover a nether-themed zone with rare ancient debris.

Features

  • Extended World Depth: Dig down to Y=-1024 instead of the normal Y=-64
  • Large Cave Systems: Massive caverns generate throughout the expanded depth
  • Depth-Based Ore Generation: The deeper you mine, the more ores you find (including diamonds and emeralds at extreme depths)
  • Dangerous Deep Mobs: Stronger mobs spawn more frequently as you descend - watch out for Wardens and Ravagers at extreme depths!
  • Nether Zone: Below Y=-924, the world transforms with netherrack, basalt, blackstone, glowstone, and sparse ancient debris

How to Use

  1. Create a new world or explore existing chunks at deep levels
  2. Dig down beyond the normal bedrock level to reach the expanded depth
  3. The deeper you go, the more resources you'll find - but also more dangerous mobs
  4. For the best ancient debris finds, head to the bottom 100 blocks (Y=-924 and below)

Tips & Tricks

  • Bring plenty of torches and armor when mining deep - mob spawns increase significantly
  • Diamond and emerald ores become much more common below Y=-500
  • The nether zone at the bottom contains ancient debris, but beware of blazes and wither skeletons
  • Bring fire resistance potions for the nether zone - magma blocks and ghasts are dangerous
  • Consider making an elytra or using scaffolding for safe descent into the deepest caves

Known Limitations

  • Existing chunks won't have the new features - explore new areas to see the full effect
  • Some very deep caves may connect to the nether zone unexpectedly
