What was built
- Added the Dimension Gun plugin that lets players fire a gun to open a brand-new, randomly themed dimension every time.
- Themes include Aurora Meadows (good), Prism Coast (cool), Ashen Wastes (evil), Nocturne Hollow (scary), and Eclipsed Plains (normal with an evil twist), each with custom gamerules, weather, and entry effects.
- A
/dimensiongun [player|list]command gives the gun or lists the available moods; the gun is a marked crossbow with a short cooldown and teleport animation feedback.
How it works
- Right-clicking the Dimension Gun creates a uniquely named world with a random seed and the chosen theme’s environment (Overworld, Nether, or End) and tweaks (time locking, storms, borders, spawn limits, etc.).
- Players are teleported to a safe spawn spot in the new world, with sound/title feedback and a small potion effect that matches the mood.
- The gun is tagged with persistent data so only the custom item triggers dimension hopping; lore plus a hidden enchantment give it a distinct feel.
Notes and limitations
- Every shot makes a fresh world; servers with many uses should periodically prune old worlds if disk space is a concern.
- Worlds use vanilla generation with themed rules applied after creation; no custom terrain shapes are injected.
