Egg Mod - User Guide

Overview

The Egg mod adds a mysterious and terrifying eldritch entity to your Minecraft world. This massive, floating creature resembles an elongated potato with numerous arm-like appendages dangling below it. It spawns once per world on the second day morning and will relentlessly follow you wherever you go.

Features

  • The Egg Entity: A massive floating creature that appears on the second day morning, accompanied by an eerie grey fog
  • Persistent Follower: The entity loads chunks around itself to stay active and will follow you across the world
  • Insanity Effects: Get within 50 blocks and you'll experience a screen overlay and nausea as your character goes insane
  • Explosive Danger: Get too close (within 5 blocks) and you'll explode - this entity is not friendly!
  • Atmospheric Sounds: Occasionally hear deep, unsettling bellowing sounds from the creature

How to Use

  1. Spawn: The Egg will automatically spawn on the second day morning of your world. Look for dense grey fog in the distance!
  2. Avoid It: Keep your distance! The entity will follow you, so don't let it get too close
  3. Watch Your Distance:
    • Beyond 50 blocks: Safe (for now)
    • Within 50 blocks: You'll start feeling insane with visual effects and nausea
    • Within 5 blocks: DANGER - You will explode!
  4. Listen: You might hear deep bellowing sounds - that's the Egg letting you know it's nearby

Tips & Tricks

  • Build a base far away from where the Egg spawns to stay safe
  • Use the insanity effects as a warning system - when you start feeling nauseous, it's time to run!
  • The entity loads chunks, so it will always be active and following you
  • The grey fog at spawn is your only warning - pay attention to it!

Known Limitations

  • The Egg will always spawn once per world - there's no way to prevent it
  • It will persistently follow you no matter where you go
  • There's currently no way to defeat or remove the entity
