EvolvBlocks Mod Notes

EvolvBlocks introduces a creeping infection that mutates the world, items, and anything living.

Core Features

  • Evolving Infection effect: Harmful status that saps health and slows victims; spreads from infected blocks, infected mobs, and contaminated samples.
  • Infected Block: Randomly spreads into nearby terrain (stone, dirt, grass, sand, gravel, clay) and applies infection when stepped on.
  • Mutated Sample item: Crafted from spoiled organics; can infect its carrier and, when dropped, may root itself into an Infected Block.
  • Protective gear: Filter Mask (helmet), Sealed Suit (chest), and Sealed Gloves (boots) reduce or prevent infection. Wear more pieces to lower infection chance.
  • Antidote ampule: Drinkable cure that clears the infection and grants a brief recovery buffer.
  • Creative tab: All new items and the infected block are grouped under the EvolvBlocks creative tab.

Crafting Highlights

  • Filter Mask: Paper, string, and iron to build a respirator.
  • Sealed Suit: Leather with copper reinforcing the chest.
  • Sealed Gloves: Leather with iron nuggets.
  • Mutated Sample: Rotten flesh, spider eye, and a poisonous potato.
  • Infected Block: Stone surrounded by mutated samples to cultivate the blight.
  • Antidote: Combine a mutated sample with a honey bottle and a glistering melon slice.

Survival Tips

  • Stay away from clusters of Infected Blocks or mobs already suffering the infection.
  • Keep mutated samples stored safely; carrying them without protection can infect you over time.
  • Full protective gear nearly nullifies airborne/contact spread; partial sets still help.
  • Drop an antidote in your hotbar before exploring; it clears the effect and adds short regeneration and absorption.
