fabricServer1.21.1mod

Farlands

  • Server-side Fabric mod for 1.21.1 that warps terrain generation into Far Lands-style cliffs and jagged walls once you travel more than 2000 blocks from spawn. Terrain within 2000 blocks remains vanilla.
  • The mod hooks the Perlin noise sampler used by worldgen and stretches the noise coordinates based on your block distance from the origin, with an added wobble so the stretched areas break into chaotic cliffs and chasms.
  • A lightweight thread-local tracker keeps the current noise position so only far-away terrain is distorted; close to spawn nothing changes.
  • Drop the jar into the server’s mods folder and start the server; no configuration is required.
  • Known limitations: the warp applies anywhere Perlin noise is sampled (all dimensions). Other worldgen mods that replace the noise pipeline may interact unpredictably. If you need a different cutoff or gentler distortion, adjust the constants in FarlandsNoise and rebuild.
