What is this mod?

Feather Client Pojav is a client-side Minecraft mod designed to boost your FPS by disabling expensive visual effects. It's perfect for playing on lower-end devices or servers with lots of particles and animations.

Features

  • Disable Particles - Turn off all particle effects for massive FPS gains
  • Disable Block Breaking Particles - Remove the particles that appear when breaking blocks
  • Disable Animations - Skip or simplify various in-game animations
  • Disable Weather - Remove rain, snow, and storm effects
  • Disable Sky Rendering - Simplify or disable the sky rendering
  • Disable Fog - Turn off distance fog for clearer long-range views
  • Disable Vignette - Remove the dark edges around your screen
  • Simplify UI - Hide boss bars and other UI elements
  • Limit Render Distance - Cap your render distance to save performance
  • Reduce Entity Render Distance - Entities won't render as far away

How to Use

The mod loads with all performance features enabled by default. Most players will see an immediate FPS boost!

Configuration

All settings are stored in your config folder: config/featherclientpojav.properties

You can edit this file while the game is closed. Settings:

  • disableParticles=true (default: true)
  • disableBlockBreakingParticles=true (default: true)
  • disableWeather=true (default: true)
  • disableFog=false (default: false)
  • disableVignette=false (default: false)
  • limitRenderDistance=false (default: false)
  • renderDistance=8 (default: 8)
  • showStartupMessage=true (default: true)

Set any value to false to re-enable that feature.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you're getting low FPS, try enabling more options in the config file
  • The mod is designed for client-side play - it won't affect other players
  • Most performance gains come from disabling particles and weather
  • Lowering render distance alongside these settings gives the best results

Known Limitations

  • Some visual effects might look different when disabled
  • This mod only works on the client side
  • Not compatible with mods that require particles to function
