Modern Warfare: Vehicles & Firepower
What was added
- Rocket launcher that fires rocket ammo with a short reload and moderate explosion radius tuned for survival play.
- Rockets and fuel cans as supporting items; fuel cans add 400 fuel to vehicles.
- Four drivable vehicles (tank, armored carrier, helicopter, strike plane) with distinct speed, durability, and fuel capacity.
- Vehicles can be placed from their item, ridden, refueled, and picked back up by sneaking with an empty hand; they drop their spawn item when destroyed.
- Client-side renderers use Minecraft-style item visuals so the vehicles stay lightweight and work in multiplayer.
How to use it
- Spawn vehicles from their items on a block top; right-click to mount. Movement follows the rider’s look direction and WASD. Helicopters/planes gain altitude by looking up; sneak to descend.
- Refuel a vehicle by right-clicking it with a fuel can. Fuel is consumed while moving; the fuel status message appears when you refuel.
- Fire the rocket launcher with rocket ammo in your inventory. Each shot uses one rocket, applies durability, and has a built-in cooldown.
Notes and limitations
- Visuals use item-based models instead of bespoke 3D meshes to keep the mod simple and multiplayer-safe.
- Vehicle physics are lightweight (no complex armor/weapon systems or inventory) and focus on traversal; aerial vehicles rely on look/sneak controls rather than dedicated keybinds.
- Crafting recipes are not included; items are creative-ready.
- Explosions are balanced for survival but still damage blocks; adjust game rules if you want to prevent block breaking.
Ideas for future improvement
- Add custom textures/models and sound loops for each vehicle type.
- Provide crafting/upgrade paths (armor plating, munitions storage, seat counts).
- Expand flight controls (hover modes, landing gear) and add dedicated weapon hardpoints on vehicles.
Server Validation
✅ Server validation passed - The mod was tested on a real Minecraft server and loaded successfully.
