Overview

FRACTURED MIND is a psychological horror mod that adds a sanity system to Minecraft. Your mental state deteriorates in darkness, at night, and underground, while recovering in light and during peaceful moments. As your sanity drops, reality itself begins to break down with disturbing events and terrifying creatures.

• Sanity System - Your sanity ranges from 0-100 and changes based on your environment
• Dynamic HUD - A custom sanity bar that glitches and distorts when your mind is breaking
• Random Events - Over 20 different psychological events trigger as sanity drops, including screen flickers, fake messages, and disturbing sounds
• Atmosphere - Constant tension through visual distortions, darkening effects, and unsettling audio
• No Explanations - The mod doesn't tell you what's happening—you must discover the mechanics yourself

How to Use

1. Install the mod - Place the JAR file in your mods folder
2. Start playing - Your sanity begins at 50 and changes automatically based on conditions
3. Watch the HUD - Check the sanity bar in the bottom-left corner of your screen
4. Survive - Stay in light, avoid darkness, and try to keep your mind intact

Tips & Tricks

• Light is your friend - Torches, campfires, and daylight all help restore sanity
• Avoid the dark - Caves, night time, and low-light areas drain sanity quickly
• Stay active - Moving around helps more than standing still
• Keep healthy - Low health accelerates sanity loss
