Redemption mod
- Killing another player grants the killer a randomly chosen beneficial status effect (Speed, Haste, Strength, Regeneration, Resistance, Fire Resistance, Water Breathing, Night Vision, Health Boost, Absorption, Hero of the Village, Conduit Power, Dolphin's Grace, Jump Boost, or Luck).
- Each awarded effect is applied with a permanent duration; different effects start at level I, while rolling the same effect on consecutive kills upgrades the amplifier (Speed I -> Speed II, etc.).
- Effects are only given for player-versus-player kills. A brief chat message lets the killer know which boon and level was applied.
- Effects follow vanilla rules outside the mod (for example, milk or death will clear them even though they are marked permanent).
Suggestions and notes:
- Add a configuration to tailor the effect pool, adjust stacking limits, or toggle the feedback message if you want different pacing.
- If you prefer stacks to reset after death or over time, consider clearing the stored last-effect data when a player respawns or on a timer.
