Alpha came back mod notes
- Build a 4×5 obsidian frame (2×3 interior) with the two bottom interior spaces replaced by Alpha Rune Blocks. Right-click either rune with an Alpha Key to open the portal; the runes are consumed and the portal fills in.
- Entering the portal moves you between the overworld and the Alpha dimension (overworld-style terrain). The portal you used collapses immediately after teleporting, so bring spare runes/keys or materials to rebuild a way out.
- An old village generates near the Alpha spawn with two huts, a well, and obsidian piles. A chest stash can hold the Echoing Miner pickaxe, more runes, an extra key, obsidian, and basic supplies.
- Crafting: Alpha Rune Block = obsidian around an amethyst shard (makes 2). Alpha Key = iron ingot + flint and steel + rune block. The Echoing Miner is loot-only from the village chest.
- Creative tabs: rune in Building Blocks; key and pickaxe in Tools & Utilities. Rune blocks need diamond-tier tools, portal blocks drop nothing.
