Battle of the Nations

Overview

Battle of the Nations brings an epic civilization conflict to your Minecraft world! Two factions are locked in an endless struggle: the European Kingdoms with their advanced technology and mighty castles, and the Barbarian Settlements who raid from the coastlines and water.

Features

  • 8 European Kingdoms - Each kingdom has unique technology levels, growing populations, and defended fortresses
  • 8 Barbarian Settlements - Coastal camps that launch raids and grow their forces over time
  • Dynamic Raids - Barbarians periodically attack nearby kingdoms to steal resources
  • Technology Progression - Kingdoms advance from basic tools to master craftsmanship, gaining stronger defenses
  • Living World - Both civilizations expand, gather resources, and clash without player intervention

How to Use

Commands

Use these commands to check the status of the ongoing war:

  • /battleofthenations - Shows available commands
  • /battleofthenations info - Overview of the current conflict state
  • /battleofthenations kingdoms - Lists all European kingdoms and their tech levels
  • /battleofthenations settlements - Lists all barbarian settlements and their raider counts
  • /battleofthenations raids - Shows active raids happening right now

Understanding the Conflict

European Kingdoms (blue names in commands):

  • Start with higher technology levels
  • Build defenses and train guards automatically
  • Can advance up to 5 tech levels
  • Higher tech = better defense against raids

Barbarian Settlements (red names in commands):

  • Build near water with raiding boats
  • Constantly gather raiders for attacks
  • Launch raids every few minutes against nearby kingdoms
  • Successfully stealing loot helps them grow stronger

Tips & Tricks

  • Kingdoms with higher technology levels defend much better against raids
  • Settlements near water are more dangerous due to their boat advantage
  • Watch the raid status to see which kingdoms need help
  • The world feels alive - even when you're mining, the war continues!

Known Limitations

  • Civilizations exist as simulated entities (you can't physically visit them yet)
  • Kingdom and settlement locations are procedurally generated in the background
  • Combat is simulated rather than showing actual mob battles
