CCTV Security Mod Notes

What it adds

• CCTV Camera block: placeable, directional camera with a slim hitbox; drops itself when broken.
• CCTV Monitor: bind by sneaking and using it on a camera, then right-click in the air to view through that camera. Sneak-use again to close the feed.
• Invisibility Cloak: chest-slot armor that continuously grants invisibility and silences the wearer while equipped.

How to use it

• Cameras follow your facing on placement. If the bound camera is missing or its chunk is unloaded, the monitor will refuse to connect.
• When you start viewing, you are moved into spectator at the camera’s location and returned to your previous spot and game mode when you close the feed. Breaking a watched camera also closes the view.
• The monitor stores its binding on the item itself, so each monitor can target a different camera.
• The cloak’s silence flag is cleared automatically when you take it off or log out.

Crafting

• CCTV Camera: iron ingots + redstone + smooth stone slab + glass pane.
• CCTV Monitor: copper ingots + redstone + glass panes.
• Invisibility Cloak: leather with phantom membranes and an ender pearl.

Notes and limitations

• The monitor requires the camera’s chunk to be loaded to start a session.
• Viewing uses spectator mode for safety; abilities from spectator are reverted when the feed closes.
