The Potion of Madness
- Added the Frenzy status effect (harmful). When active on mobs, they hunt the nearest living target (players preferred), rush to attack, and will occasionally smash nearby blocks with normal drops. The effect only drives mob behavior; players who drink the potion do not become frenzied themselves.
- Brewing chain: Awkward Potion + Sea Pickle → Briny Frenzy; Briny Frenzy + Warped Fungus → Warped Frenzy; Warped Frenzy + Poisonous Potato → Potion of Madness (amplified Frenzy for a longer window). Splash/lingering conversions work as usual.
- New potion identifiers: Briny Frenzy, Warped Frenzy, and Potion of Madness, plus matching arrow variants.
- Mod ID:
thepotionofmadness. Entry point registers the effect, potions, and brewing recipes during load. - Best used in singleplayer or servers where the mod is installed server-side; the Frenzy logic executes on the server to control mob AI and block breaking.
