The Great Villager-Pillager War
Overview
This mod transforms Minecraft raids into epic battles! When a raid starts, villagers stop hiding and fight back with crossbows. You can also spawn military vehicles to join the fight. But be careful - if you shoot a villager or pillager, you'll start an all-out war between the factions!
Features
- Fighting Villagers: During raids, villagers equip crossbows and fight alongside you against pillagers
- War Mechanics: Shooting any villager or pillager makes them angry and starts a server-wide war
- 5 Military Vehicles: Jeep, Tank, Biplane, Anti-Air turret, and Artillery cannon
- Each vehicle has unique weapons: Machine guns, explosive shells, bombs, flak cannons, and long-range artillery
How to Use
Starting a War
- Natural: Wait for a raid to start - villagers will automatically arm themselves
- Manual: Shoot a villager or pillager with an arrow to instantly start the war
Commands
/thegreatwar status- Check if war is active and see angry mob counts/thegreatwar start- Force start a war (admin only)/thegreatwar peace- End the war (admin only)
Spawning Vehicles
Use /spawnvehicle <type> to create a vehicle at your location:
/spawnvehicle jeep- Fast transport with machine gun/spawnvehicle tank- Slow but heavily armored, fires explosive shells/spawnvehicle biplane- Can fly, drops bombs below/spawnvehicle antiair- Rapid-fire flak cannon for defense/spawnvehicle artillery- Extreme range bombardment
Driving Vehicles
- Mount: Right-click the vehicle to get in
- Drive: Move normally (WASD) to control the vehicle
- Fire: Press F (swap hands key) or left-click to shoot
- Exit: Press sneak (Shift) to dismount
Tips & Tricks
- Tanks can take a beating but move slowly - great for frontline assaults
- Biplanes are fragile but let you rain bombs from above
- Anti-Air turrets are perfect for defending villages from aerial threats
- Artillery has the longest range - set up far from the action and bombard enemies
- Villagers stay angry even after the raid ends, so watch your back!
Known Limitations
- Vehicles use armor stands for visualization and may look simple compared to modded Minecraft
- Vehicle physics are basic - they're not full custom entity implementations
- Villagers won't use their crossbows perfectly, but they do their best to fight!
