HyZed - Zombie Survival Mod

Overview

HyZed is the ultimate zombie survival mod for Hytale, inspired by Project Zomboid, 7 Days to Die, and Deceased Craft. It transforms your Hytale experience into a challenging survival game where you must scavenge during the day, defend at night, and survive the dreaded 7-day horde.

Features

Night Zombies: Zombies only come out at night, making daylight your only safe time to explore and gather resources
Infection System: Getting bitten by zombies causes infection that reduces your maximum health until you find herbal medicine
Survival Needs: Manage your thirst and body temperature or suffer visual effects and health penalties
7-Day Horde: Every 7 days, a massive horde attacks - build defenses to survive!
Base Defenses: Craft spike traps, turrets, flamethrowers, and barbed wire to protect your base
NPC Raiders & Traders: Find fortified outposts with hostile raiders and friendly traders selling supplies
Boss Zombies: Industrial cities spawn massive boss zombies with unique armor and super strength
Death Crates: If you succumb to infection, your items are safely stored in a death crate

How to Use

Basic Commands

/hyzed - Check mod info and current day

Survival Tips

Daytime (Safe):

Explore and gather resources
Find water sources to drink
Look for industrial cities (dangerous but rewarding)
Craft herbal medicine from plants

Nighttime (Dangerous):

Stay in your base or fortified position
Zombies will spawn and hunt you
Use torches and campfires for visibility

The 7-Day Horde:

Build reinforced walls before day 7
Set up spike traps and turrets around your base
Stock up on weapons and healing items
The horde can break through blocks given enough time

Finding NPCs

Look for fortified outposts in industrial zones
Traders inside are friendly and sell medicine
Raiders outside are hostile - keep your distance or fight back
Raiders can be attacked by zombies when outside their camps

Curing Infection

Craft herbal medicine from collected herbs
Use it quickly before infection reaches critical levels
Critical infection will turn you into a zombie!

Tips & Tricks

Build your base with multiple layers of defense
Keep spare herbal medicine in your base
Industrial cities have the best loot but spawn boss zombies
Water is essential - always carry a canteen
Wear appropriate clothing for the temperature
The horde tracks your general area, so keep moving during horde night

Known Limitations

This is the initial release of HyZed. Some advanced features like detailed visual effects, complex NPC behaviors, and full crafting recipes are planned for future updates. The core survival experience is fully functional!
