How to Use

Getting the Selection Tool

BuildVault doesn't add a craftable item—instead, it detects when you're holding a stick. Simply hold a stick in your main hand to use the selection tool!

Saving a Structure

  1. Hold a stick (selection tool)
  2. Left-click a block to set Corner 1
  3. Right-click a block to set Corner 2
  4. A green box will show your selection
  5. Press M to open the save dialog
  6. Enter a name and click Save

Building a Saved Structure

  1. Press N to open your structure list
  2. Click "Select" on the structure you want to build
  3. Press B to see what materials you need
  4. Gather all required blocks in your inventory
  5. Look at where you want to place it
  6. Press G to start auto-building!

Keybindings

| Key | Action | |-----|--------| | B | View resource requirements | | N | Open structure list | | M | Save current selection | | G | Start/stop building |

Tips & Tricks

  • Build from the bottom up—the mod places lowest blocks first
  • Make sure you have ALL materials before starting, or building will pause
  • Structures are saved in your config folder and persist between game sessions
  • The build area is where you're looking when you press G—make sure you have space!

Known Limitations

  • Some complex blocks (signs, chests with items, etc.) may not save their full state
  • Building requires the blocks to be in your hotbar for best results
  • Very large structures may take a while to build
