Overview

CobblemonBehaviours adds personality-driven AI to wild Pokémon in your world! Now wild Pokémon can act aggressively or timidly based on their temperament, making encounters feel more dynamic and realistic.

How to Use

Spawning Temperament Pokémon

To spawn a Pokémon with a temperament, use the aspect parameter:

/pokespawn charizard aspect=aggressive
/pokespawn pikachu aspect=timid

Item Mechanics

Flashbang (Snowball)

  • Throw at aggressive Pokémon to blind and slow them down
  • Temporarily stops them from attacking
  • Perfect for escaping dangerous encounters

Net (Lead)

  • Right-click on wild Pokémon to immobilize them
  • Applies heavy slowness effect for a short duration
  • Useful for catching or photographing Pokémon

Lure (Sweet Berries)

  • Drop on the ground to attract Pokémon
  • Timid Pokémon will eagerly approach
  • Aggressive Pokémon may investigate curiously

Pacify (Cake)

  • Place cake nearby to calm aggressive Pokémon
  • They'll stop attacking and gather around

Configuration

All settings can be customized in the config file at config/cobblemonbehaviours.json:

  • Allowed Dimensions: Choose which worlds the system works in (default: Overworld)
  • Aggressive Settings: Adjust follow range, attack damage, and movement speed
  • Timid Settings: Configure detection radius and flee speed
  • Item Settings: Customize item IDs, durations, radii, and cooldowns

Tips & Tricks

  • Combine lures with nets to safely capture timid Pokémon
  • Use flashbangs when surrounded by multiple aggressive Pokémon
  • Place pacifying cake before attempting to approach aggressive species
  • Remember: Temperament only affects wild Pokémon, never player-owned ones!
