Overview

Dagers adds a new weapon type to Minecraft - daggers! These are smaller, faster versions of swords that trade damage for speed. Perfect for players who prefer rapid attacks over heavy hits.

Features

• 5 Dagger Types: Wooden, Stone, Iron, Diamond, and Netherite daggers
• Fast Attack Speed: 1.6 attack speed (vs sword's 1.2-1.4) for quicker swings
• Lower Damage: 5-9 damage depending on material (vs sword's 10-16)
• Durability: 60% of standard sword durability
• Crafting Recipes: Simple vertical pattern using the same materials as swords plus a stick
• Sword Sounds: Uses the familiar sword swing and hit sounds

How to Use

1. Craft a Dagger: Place the material (planks, cobblestone, iron ingot, diamond, or netherite ingot) on top with a stick in the center and bottom slots (vertical pattern)
2. Equip: Put the dagger in your hand to use it as a weapon
3. Fight: Enjoy faster attack speed for quick strikes, but remember - each hit deals less damage than a sword

Tips & Tricks

• Daggers are excellent for fighting fast-moving mobs where attack speed matters more than raw damage
• Combine with effects like Strength potions to boost damage while keeping the speed advantage
• Use in combination with a shield - the fast attack speed lets you get in quick hits between blocks

Known Limitations

• Server-side only mod - no custom visual models (uses default item appearance)
• Tooltip shows the same as vanilla items (attack damage tooltip displays correctly in game)
