Ghast SMP
What it does
- Every player receives a personal "Happy Ghast" companion when they join; new players auto-mount it on spawn.
- The ghast is passive (no attacks), rideable, and follows the rider's look direction; sneaking slows/descends to let you hover.
- If a companion ghast is killed, its owner permanently loses one heart (2 max health) and a replacement ghast arrives shortly after.
- Heart losses are remembered between sessions and re-applied on join; ghasts despawn when the owner leaves to avoid strays.
- Player heart loss data is stored in the plugin's data folder (
players.yml).
Limitations & notes
- Max health will not drop below one heart (2 health).
- Ghast flight uses simple look-direction steering; it does not have pathfinding or combat abilities.
- Existing companions are cleaned up on shutdown/leave and refreshed on the next join.
Server Validation
✅ Server validation passed - The mod was tested on a real Minecraft server and loaded successfully.
