PanelsUpgrade mod notes
- Added two late-game panel blocks: Advanced Energy Panel (steady high output) and Quantum Energy Panel (heavier buffer, emits a small glow, and even higher peak generation). Both store power internally and push NeoForge/FE energy to adjacent acceptors every tick.
- Panels scale generation with sky brightness; they need sky access, drop to quarter output at night, and are hampered by rain/thunder. They require correct tools to break and sit under the new PanelsUpgrade creative tab.
- New crafting chain rewards tougher progression: Reinforced Casing, Photovoltaic Matrix, Coolant Manifold, and Quantum Pulse Cell components feed into recipes for the Advanced and Quantum panels. Recipes stay vanilla-friendly so they load without extra mods while still feeling Industrial Reborn-inspired.
- Energy capability is exposed via NeoForge’s block capability hooks, so any FE-compatible cables or machines can pull power directly from the panel faces.
- Visuals reuse vanilla textures (quartz/sea lantern themes for Advanced, crying obsidian/amethyst for Quantum); no custom textures are needed.
Limitations and tips:
- Generation is solar-style only; there’s no passive underground output and no sided filtering. Keep the top open to the sky for best output.
- No direct Industrial Reborn API hooks are present—interaction relies on shared FE compatibility. If you add that mod later, cables/machines should still link through the standard energy capability.
