Overview

TechGuns is a massive firearm and survival expansion mod that transforms Minecraft into a tactical combat experience. It adds over 50 realistic guns, 20 unique armor sets, 10 new ores, and dangerous structures to explore—all while staying compatible with vanilla crafting.

Cargo Loot System - Random airdrops fall from the sky every hour with valuable gear
Oil Platform Structure - A massive ocean structure filled with hostile mobs and elite loot
Realistic Gun Mechanics - Damage, recoil, reload times, fire rates, and ammo types for every weapon
Particle Effects - Muzzle flashes and bullet trails for immersive combat

How to Use

Getting Started

Find Ores - Explore caves and the Nether to find new ores for crafting
Craft Ammo - Use iron nuggets and gunpowder to make pistol/rifle ammo at a crafting table
Make Your First Gun - Craft a simple pistol using iron, a trigger mechanism, gun stock, and wood planks
Shoot - Right-click to fire (ammo must be in your inventory)

Key Bindings

R - Reload your weapon
Right Click - Aim down sights
V - Change fire mode (on supported weapons)

Commands

/techguns airdrop - Spawn a cargo airdrop (admin only)
/techguns info - View mod statistics
/tg - Quick mod info

Armor Abilities

Wear a full armor set to gain special bonuses:

Tactical Armor - Speed boost
Spec Ops Armor - Speed II + Night Vision
Exoskeleton Armor - Jump Boost III + Resistance III
Stealth Armor - Invisibility
Juggernaut Armor - Resistance III (but slower movement)

Finding Loot

Cargo Crates - Randomly fall from the sky with guns, ammo, and materials
Oil Platforms - Massive ocean structures with elite enemies and legendary loot
Military Crates - Found in structures, contain mid-tier gear

Tips & Tricks

Always carry multiple ammo types - different guns use different ammo
Higher-tier guns need rare ores like Titanium and Tungsten
Armor set bonuses only work when wearing the complete set
Sniper rifles deal massive damage but have slow fire rates
Shotguns are devastating up close but ineffective at range
The Oil Platform is extremely dangerous - bring friends and good gear!

Known Limitations

3D gun models are simplified for vanilla compatibility
Some advanced animations use particle effects instead of complex models
Oil Platform generation is basic due to structure API constraints
Network synchronization for multiplayer is simplified
