Overview

THE DARK WORLDS is an adventure mod that adds mysterious Dark World dimensions accessible through ancient Sanctuary structures. Explore four unique areas, fight challenging enemies and bosses, and collect powerful artifacts!

Features

  • Sanctuary Structures: Find ancient sanctuaries scattered across the Overworld - they contain portals to the Dark World
  • 4 Dark World Areas: Each area has unique enemies, atmosphere, and a boss
    • Shadow Forest - A dark, misty woodland with the Forest Wraith boss
    • Ember Wastes - A fiery volcanic wasteland with the Flame Titan boss
    • Frozen Depths - An icy underground realm with the Ice Queen boss
    • Void Chasm - A cosmic void dimension with the Void Lord boss
  • 8 New Enemies: Shadow Stalkers, Ember Spirits, Frost Wraiths, and Void Walkers spawn in their respective areas
  • 4 Epic Boss Fights: Each boss has a health bar and drops unique items
  • Special Boss Drops: Each boss drops a rare material and a powerful sword
  • Unique Blocks: Dark Stone variants for each area type
  • Sanctuary Compass: A special item to help locate Sanctuary structures

How to Use

  1. Find a Sanctuary: Explore the Overworld to find Sanctuary structures - they appear rarely in most biomes
  2. Enter the Dark World: Step on the Dark Portal block inside the Sanctuary to teleport to a random area in the Dark World
  3. Explore and Fight: Each area has unique enemies that spawn naturally
  4. Find the Bosses: Bosses spawn in their respective areas - look for them while exploring
  5. Collect Loot: Defeat bosses to collect special materials (Wraith Essence, Titan Ember, Frost Crystal, Void Fragment) and powerful swords

Tips & Tricks

  • Come prepared! The Dark World is dangerous with constant enemy spawns
  • Each boss drops a unique sword with different damage values - the Void Blade from the Void Lord is the strongest
  • The Forest Wraith (Shadow Forest) is a good starter boss with 250 HP
  • The Void Lord is the ultimate challenge with 400 HP and 20 attack damage
  • Beds don't work in the Dark World - set your spawn point before entering!

Known Limitations

  • Custom textures are placeholder - may appear as missing textures (purple/black checkerboard)
  • Sanctuary structure generation may be rare - explore widely to find them
  • Some advanced features like custom boss AI are basic versions
