Upgradable Skills
- Added a Skill Ledger item that lets you invest XP into three skills: Melee Combat, Mining Speed, and Felling Speed. Skills cap at level 10 and become more expensive each upgrade.
- Use the book normally (right-click) to spend XP on the selected skill; sneak + right-click cycles which skill is selected. Costs scale as
10 + 5 * current_level + current_level^2XP. - Effects: Melee adds +0.5 attack damage per level; Mining adds +8% block break speed per level; Felling adds +12% block break speed per level while holding an axe. Bonuses persist through death and apply automatically when you log in.
- Crafting: Shaped recipe (Iron Ingots in the corners, Lapis on the sides, Book in the center) yields the Skill Ledger so you can obtain it in survival.
- Progress is stored on the player, not the item, so any Skill Ledger can be used to continue upgrading. Use the Tools & Utilities creative tab to grab the book quickly if you just want to test.
- Limitations: No GUI beyond chat feedback; XP checks use total experience points, so plan upgrades around your stored XP.
