Losing Control Challenge

Overview

This mod adds a hardcore survival challenge where players gradually lose their abilities over time. Every 2 minutes, a random ability is permanently disabled for all players on the server. Can you survive as your capabilities slowly slip away?

Features

• Automatic timer that disables one random ability every 2 minutes
• 15 different abilities that can be lost:
  • Movement: Sprinting, Jumping, Sneaking, Swimming, Climbing ladders
  • Interaction: Opening inventory, Using items, Breaking blocks, Placing blocks, Picking up items, Dropping items
  • Combat: Attacking, Dealing damage, Taking damage
  • Survival: Losing hunger, Eating food, Collecting XP, Crafting
• Multiplayer support with separate ability tracking for each player
• Active blocking prevents disabled abilities from working

How to Use

1. Start the Challenge: Type /timer start to begin the countdown
2. Watch Your Abilities: Every 2 minutes, you'll receive a message showing which ability you lost
3. Adapt and Survive: Work around your new limitations and plan ahead
4. Stop Anytime: Use /timer stop to pause the challenge
5. Game Over: When all abilities are lost, the timer stops automatically

Tips & Tricks

• Build a secure base early before you lose block-breaking or placing abilities
• Stock up on food before losing the ability to eat
• Set up automation (hoppers, droppers) to move items since you might lose item dropping/picking up
• Enchant gear early since you might lose the ability to craft or use anvils
• Consider the order you lose abilities - losing jumping before building stairs could be problematic!

Known Limitations

• Some abilities may have edge cases where partial functionality remains
• Swimming ability loss prevents the swimming animation but may not fully prevent water movement
• Crafting ability is complex to block completely in all scenarios
