- Edible Lapis Lazuli lets the vanilla lapis lazuli item be eaten; it restores 2 hunger (1 shank) with a small 0.1 saturation boost.
- Eating uses the item’s original texture and vanilla bite particles, so you see blue lapis bits during the chew animation with no new assets added.
- Works on both client and server; uses Fabric’s default item component hook to attach a food component directly to lapis lazuli at startup.
- Lapis behaves like other foods: it can only be eaten when you are hungry and it provides no extra status effects.
- Future ideas: make it always edible for emergencies, tweak hunger/saturation values, or add optional side effects for flavor.
