You Are Not in Control
- Fabric mod (id
youarenotincontrol) for 1.21.1 that runs on both client and server and automatically hijacks players. - Every 2–5 minutes the server selects a random online player, seizes them for 15–30 seconds, and announces when control is lost/regained.
- While hijacked the server shoves and reorients the player, swaps their hotbar slot, forces hand swings, and occasionally broadcasts chaotic chatter.
- Modded clients also receive a hijack payload that scrambles inputs: camera jitter, random movement/sprint/jumps, forced attack/use keypresses, hotbar roulette, chat screen closure, and frantic on-screen messages.
- Unmodded clients are skipped for the payload but still get shoved server-side; timers automatically reschedule the next hijack after each session.
Known limits and ideas:
- Behavior timings are fixed; add a config if you want custom durations or opt-outs.
- Chat during a hijack is closed and only system-style nonsense is injected, not signed player chat.
- Attack/use keys are forcibly toggled during hijacks and cleared afterward; expect brief loss of manual control during those windows.
