Gambling Effect Mod

Overview

This mod adds a brand new potion effect called "Gambling" that adds a wild twist to combat! When you have this effect active, every hit you take becomes a risky gamble - you'll either get lucky and take 60% less damage, or you'll get unlucky and take 40% more damage.

Features

  • Gambling Potion Effect: A brand new status effect that randomly modifies incoming damage
  • 50/50 Chance: Each time you take damage, there's an equal chance of either outcome
  • Two Possible Results:
    • Win: Take 60% less damage (only 40% of normal damage)
    • Lose: Take 40% more damage (140% of normal damage)

How to Use

  1. Obtain the Gambling effect (currently only available through commands or other mods)
  2. Once active, the effect will automatically apply to all incoming damage
  3. The effect duration determines how long the gambling continues
  4. Higher amplifier levels don't change the effect, but can be used for different potion tiers

Commands

You can give yourself the effect using the /effect command:

/effect give @p effects:gambling 60

(Lasts 60 seconds - change the number for different durations)

  • Use this effect when you're feeling lucky or need a high-risk, high-reward strategy
  • The effect is neutral - it can help or hurt depending on your luck
  • Great for mini-games or challenging gameplay scenarios
