Horror creeper
A horror-focused Minecraft mod that transforms Creepers into terrifying entities. They stalk players silently, appear in dark fog, emit disturbing sounds,...
00—fabricServer1.21.1mod
What this mod does
- Turns all creepers into horror-styled stalkers: silent, glowing, and cloaked in drifting smoke/ash so they appear out of the darkness.
- Creepers only persist at night; any that exist during the day are removed to keep the horror confined to darkness.
- Nearby players are shrouded with temporary darkness and slow movement, while the creeper hunts them aggressively and may unpredictably lunge or blink behind them.
- Disturbing ambience (cave hums, warden heartbeats) plays around active creepers to raise tension without the usual hiss.
- At very close range the creeper performs a jumpscare: roar, heavy debuffs (darkness, nausea, severe slowness), and an immediate explosion for maximum shock.
How to use
- Drop the mod jar into your Fabric server's
modsfolder and restart; no configuration is required. - Expect creepers to be stealthy: watch for smoke, ash, and eerie sounds after nightfall as the primary warning signs.
Notes and limitations
- The day purge ensures night-only encounters; creepers spawned or kept alive in daylight are discarded instead of converted.
- Teleports try to place creepers behind a target with basic air checks; rare cramped spaces may prevent a blink and fall back to standard movement.
- Effects and explosions are tuned for atmosphere on survival servers; adjust via code if you want softer or harsher behavior.
