Overview

Seas of Legend transforms your Minecraft server into an epic pirate adventure! Choose your destiny as a fearsome Pirate or a noble Government Officer, sail the endless seas, battle rival crews, and build your legend in a world of treasure and danger.

Features

  • Choose Your Path: Join the Pirates to plunder and raid, or the Government Navy to patrol and protect
  • Level System: Gain XP from combat, quests, and exploration to unlock ship upgrades and abilities
  • Notoriety System: Build your fame (or infamy) to climb ranks from Unknown to Legendary
  • Quests: Accept missions like treasure hunts, bounty hunts, and naval patrols for rewards
  • Ship Upgrades: Upgrade your vessel with better cannons, sails, and hull armor as you level up
  • Progression: Unlock bigger ships (Sloop → Brigantine → Galleon) as you reach higher levels

How to Use

Getting Started

  1. Join a faction: When you first join, use one of these commands:

    • /seasoflegend join pirate - Become a pirate and get a Sloop
    • /seasoflegend join government - Join the navy and get a Patrol Sloop

  2. Check your status: Use /seasoflegend info to see your faction, level, and experience

  3. Get a quest: Use /seasoflegend quests to see available missions, then /seasoflegend quest <id> to accept one

Tips & Tricks

  • Combat gives XP: Defeat other players and mobs to gain experience and level up
  • Complete quests: Quests give big XP and notoriety rewards - check /seasoflegend quests often!
  • Upgrade strategically: Higher level ships require level 20 (Brigantine) and level 35 (Galleon)
  • Watch your rank: Your notoriety affects how NPCs react to you - pirates and navy are natural enemies!
  • Sail upgrades improve speed, hull upgrades improve durability, and cannons improve combat

Known Limitations

  • Ship upgrades are stat-based (actual boat entities aren't implemented yet)
  • World generation modifications for ocean worlds need to be configured separately in server.properties
  • Treasure locations are not automatically generated - server admins should create points of interest
