The Residual

Overview

The Residual is a horror mod that adds an unkillable entity to your Minecraft world. This invisible presence stalks you from the shadows, learning your habits and subtly altering your world until you either escape its notice or face its wrath.

Features

• Invisible Stalker: The Residual watches you from a distance, invisible and silent
• Learns Your Habits: It tracks where you go, when you sleep, and how you play
• World Manipulation: Torches move, signs appear with creepy messages, lights go out
• Psychological Horror: Eerie sounds, whispers, and visual effects create paranoia
• Escalating Threat: Ignoring warnings will trigger a terrifying chase and attack
• Unkillable: You cannot fight it - you can only flee or avoid detection

How to Use

Commands (Operator Only)

• /residual spawn - Force the Residual to start stalking you
• /residual banish - Remove the Residual stalking you (temporary relief)
• /residual status - Check if you're being stalked and warning level

Survival Mode

1. Play normally - The Residual spawns automatically after about 1 hour of gameplay
2. Watch for signs - Moved torches, strange signs, extinguished lights
3. Listen carefully - Whispers and ambient sounds when it's near
4. Heed warnings - If you feel effects (slowness, darkness), it's warning you
5. Stay alert - If the warning level gets too high, it will attack

Tips & Tricks

• Stay in well-lit areas - The Residual prefers darkness
• Don't stay in one place - It learns your favorite spots
• Pay attention to signs - Those creepy messages are warnings
• Run if attacked - You can't kill it, but you can escape
• Sleep regularly - It tracks your sleep patterns

Known Limitations

• The Residual only spawns in the Overworld
• Creative mode players are ignored
• It won't spawn until you've played for at least 1 hour
