Overview

This mod creates an eerie, atmospheric experience by playing ambient drone sounds that get louder and more intense as you approach the world border. Perfect for survival worlds where the edge of the map should feel mysterious and foreboding.

Features

• Ambient sound loop that activates when within 200 blocks of the world border
• Dynamic volume that increases as you get closer to the edge

How to Use

1. Install the mod on both client and server for the best experience
2. Add your custom sound file to the resource pack at: assets/worldborderambient1211/sounds/world_border_ambient.ogg
3. Walk toward the world border - you'll hear the ambient sound start at around 200 blocks away
4. The sound intensifies as you get closer to the edge, reaching maximum volume within 150 blocks

Tips & Tricks

• Use long, looping ambient sounds (30+ seconds) for the best effect
• Try deep drones, wind sounds, or ethereal textures
• The sound works with custom world borders set via commands
• For server admins: Consider lowering the world border gradually to create a "closing in" tension

Known Limitations

• You need to provide your own sound file (.ogg format) - the mod doesn't include one by default
• The sound file should be placed in a custom resource pack with the correct path
