VALHEIM SERVER HOSTING · BRING YOUR OWN HARDWARE
Valheim server hosting, your world included.
The world your group finally sticks with deserves better than dying to a hosting migration. Rent a small box at cost, and Warp, our AI server admin, sets up the dedicated server, carries your local world over, and keeps backups like a longship keeps oars.

What hosting actually costs.
Valheim hosting plans typically run $10 to $25 a month. The server itself is light: a 4 to 8 GB box at $8 to $16 covers most groups. The annoying parts were the launch flags, the world files, and the updates. Those are exactly the parts an agent does well.
Honest math: Valheim is one of the cheaper games to host either way. Self-hosting wins on control and on carrying your exact world forward, not on dramatic savings.
THE USUAL WAY

Meet Warp, your server admin.
Warp installs the Valheim dedicated server with SteamCMD, turns on crossplay if you want console friends, restores your local world files, and handles the updates that otherwise break Saturday plans. Backups run on a schedule you set in one sentence.
- Install the Valheim dedicated server
- Enable crossplay for console friends
- Move your local world to the server
- Schedule world backups
- Update the server after patches
- Install server-side mods on request

What to rent for Valheim.
Valheim is light on paper and heavier late-game, when big bases and many portals load more of the world at once. 8 GB gives you room to build ambitious things. Any provider works: pick one, rent the box, and Warp takes it from there.

Any provider, any region. You get an IP, a username, and a password or SSH key by email.
Connect it to Warp
Paste those credentials once. Warp verifies the box and pins its host key. Credentials are encrypted at rest.
Ask for your Valheim server
Describe what you want in your own words. Warp installs it, configures it, and reports back.

Plain language in, running server out
Flat rate. No per-gigabyte games.
One flat subscription per environment. You pay your VPS provider directly for the hardware, at their price, and you pay us for the agent that runs it. That is the whole model. No resource markup, no surprise overages.
- Bring your own VPS from any provider
- Up to 3 environments per account
- Fair use, no per-command metering
- Cancel anytime from billing
PER ENVIRONMENT
One environment is one machine you own, managed by the agent in plain language. The VPS itself is billed by your provider, separately and at cost.

Asked before renting.
Can console players join a self-hosted Valheim server?
Yes. The dedicated server supports crossplay through a launch flag, and Warp enables it on request. Console friends join through the in-game server browser or join code.
Can I move our local co-op world to the server?
Yes. Valheim worlds are two files, .db and .fwl, that live in your local save folder. Send them to Warp or share a link, and it places them on the server so the group continues exactly where it left off.
How much RAM does a Valheim server need?
4 GB runs a fresh world for a small group. 8 GB is the comfortable baseline once bases sprawl and more players portal around. Valheim rewards a fast CPU core more than extra memory beyond that.
What does it cost to host a Valheim server?
Managed plans run $10 to $25 a month. Self-hosted, a suitable box is $8 to $16 at cost plus $15 flat for Warp. The savings are modest; the control and the world portability are the point.
Do mods work on a dedicated server?
Yes, server-side mods work through BepInEx. Ask for the mods you want and Warp installs and configures them. Client-side mods stay on each player's machine.
How do backups work?
Tell Warp a schedule, like nightly at 4:00, and how many to keep. It copies the world files after a save and can restore any snapshot by asking. Before risky changes it backs up automatically.
