MapFoto

Overview

MapFoto lets you display any image from the internet on a Minecraft map! Simply paste a URL and get a map with that image rendered on it. Perfect for custom artwork, logos, or pictures on your server.

Features

  • Download images from any URL and render them onto maps
  • Support for multi-map images (up to 4x4 grid for larger images)
  • Automatic color conversion to Minecraft map colors
  • Works with PNG, JPG, and other common image formats

How to Use

  1. Hold an empty spot in your inventory
  2. Type the command: /map <image-url>
  3. For larger images, add resize: /map <image-url> resize 2x2
  4. The map will be added to your inventory automatically
  5. Right-click while holding the map to view it!

Examples:

  • /map https://example.com/photo.png - Creates a single map
  • /map https://example.com/logo.png resize 2x2 - Creates a 2x2 grid (4 maps)

Tips & Tricks

  • Use square images for best results
  • Images are automatically scaled to fit the map(s)
  • For multi-map images, place the maps in a grid pattern on item frames to see the full picture
  • Common image URLs end in .png, .jpg, or .jpeg

Known Limitations

  • Maximum image grid size is 4x4 maps
  • Some websites may block image downloads (use direct image URLs)
  • Transparent images may show as black in transparent areas
