AX3 - Axolotl Lush Lands
Overview
AX3 adds a brand new surface biome to Minecraft that's like the Lush Caves, but above ground and absolutely crawling with axolotls! Explore vibrant mossy landscapes, discover giant dripstone formations, and befriend the cutest amphibians in the game.
Features
- Axolotl Lush Lands - A rare surface biome with lush cave features above ground
- Massive Axolotl Spawns - Axolotls spawn in huge groups of 6-12, everywhere you look
- Lush Vegetation - Moss, azalea trees, spore blossoms, cave vines, and glow berries scattered around
- Dripstone Formations - Giant stalactites and stalagmites dot the landscape
- Tropical Fish - Schools of tropical fish swim in the ponds scattered throughout
- Unique Atmosphere - The biome has a distinctive greenish fog and moody lighting
How to Use
- Finding the Biome: Open your inventory and look for a "Axolotl Lush Lands" biome in the F3 debug screen when exploring the overworld
- Collecting Axolotls: Use a water bucket on any axolotl to catch it - they'll help you fight underwater mobs
- Exploring: Search for clay pools (perfect for axolotl breeding!) and dripstone caves hidden beneath the mossy hills
- Breeding: Feed axolotls tropical fish buckets to breed them and get rare blue variants
Tips & Tricks
- Bring plenty of buckets - you'll want to collect different colored axolotls
- The biome is rare, so use the
/locate biome ax3:axolotl_lush_landscommand if you get impatient - Look for spore blossoms on the ceiling - they drop pretty particles when broken
- Clay patches are common here - perfect for making terracotta or flower pots
- The glow berries from cave vines make great natural lighting for your base
Known Limitations
- The biome may not generate in existing worlds - you'll need to explore new chunks
- Some features (like lush cave pools) may appear different than underground lush caves
