Create Fabric client-side mod ClearHUD for Minecraft 1.21.1. Remove vanilla potion effects GUI. Transparent left-middle HUD with potion icons, names, timers...
00—fabricClient1.21.1mod
ClearHUD is a client-side Fabric mod that replaces the vanilla potion HUD with a cleaner transparent layout and adds animated armor durability bars.
What it does and how it works
- Hides the default status effect overlay and renders a left-side, semi-transparent panel with potion icons, names, and timers. Timers tint green normally and pulse red when under the critical window (default 10s).
- Uses smooth fades and sliding to introduce or remove effects, keeping the HUD anchored to the left-middle of the screen.
- Adds bottom-right armor durability bars colored green/yellow/red based on remaining durability; critical pieces pulse to draw attention. Bars include the armor piece name and remaining/max durability numbers.
- Leverages vanilla effect icons and a subtle accent bar (green for beneficial, red for harmful) to keep the overlay readable against the world.
Configuration
- A JSON config is generated at
config/clearhud.jsonon first launch. Edits are hot-reloaded automatically. - Tunable options include element positions, panel sizes, animation speeds, opacity, armor thresholds, and whether armor bars are shown.
Notes and limits
- Armor flashing is tied to low durability (default warning/critical thresholds); adjust the values in the config to change when flashing occurs.
- Colors are chosen for readability on most backgrounds but can be customized through the config file if desired.
