Creature Containment Portal
Overview
The Creature Containment Portal mod lets you capture any mob in Minecraft using a high-tech portal system. Freeze creatures in place, suck them into digital storage, and deploy them later as friendly companions that follow you around!
Features
- Freeze Any Creature: Left-click on any mob to freeze it in stasis with a glowing outline
- Dimensional Extraction: Type
join mein chat to open a swirling blue portal that pulls frozen creatures into storage - Infinite Storage: Store as many creatures as you want - no limits!
- Auto-Heal: Creatures slowly heal while stored, so they're ready for action when released
- Loyal Companions: Released creatures become friendly and won't attack you
How to Use
-
Freeze a Creature: Walk up to any mob and left-click it. It will glow blue and freeze in place for 30 seconds.
-
Extract It: While standing near the frozen creature (within 8 blocks), type
join mein chat. A swirling blue portal will appear and suck the creature into your digital storage! -
View Your Collection: Press the G key to open your creature storage menu (in a full implementation).
-
Deploy: Select a creature from your storage to spawn it at your location. It will be friendly and ready to follow you!
Tips & Tricks
- Frozen creatures stay frozen for 30 seconds - don't wait too long to extract them!
- The portal only extracts the closest frozen creature, so freeze one at a time for best results
- Released creatures keep their original health (plus any healing from storage)
- This works on hostile mobs too - turn your enemies into allies!
Known Limitations
- The storage UI currently uses server-side messaging; a full graphical UI would require additional client mod installation
- Creatures don't have custom AI to actually follow the player yet - they're just made non-hostile
- Bosses can be captured (no restrictions currently), which may affect game balance
