Goblin mobs adds raiding goblins, stormy weather, and themed loot for both client and server.
Features
- Eight mobs and bosses: scouts, brutes, shamans, frost and storm goblins, a king, and two god-tier bosses (Sun and Night). All have spawn eggs in the Goblin Legion creative tab and spawn naturally in the overworld via biome modifiers and storm events.
- Armor set and loot: Goblinsteel armor (iron textures) with solid defenses plus a rare Goblin Idol trinket item.
- World ambience: Two data-driven biomes (Frost Gorge and Storm Peaks) with goblin spawn lists. Goblins also invade standard overworld biomes using the included biome modifier.
- Dynamic weather: Periodic snow storms and tornado-like gusts on the server tick event that slow, lift, or disorient players; storms intensify in the custom biomes and can call rare boss spawns.
- Gameplay hooks: Goblin King rallies nearby goblins, shamans hex players, storm/frost variants inflict movement penalties, and god bosses pulse area damage/lighting strikes.
Usage
- Find items and spawn eggs in the Goblin Legion creative tab or via
/giveusing thegoblinmobsnamespace (for examplegoblinmobs:goblin_king_spawn_egg). - Natural goblin spawns are active in overworld biomes and are denser during storms; custom biomes provide concentrated goblin activity. Use
/locate biome goblinmobs:frost_gorgeor/locate biome goblinmobs:storm_peaksto jump to them on new worlds. - Weather events run server-side automatically; no client setup is required.
Notes and limitations
- Biome generation is data-driven with minimal terrain features; worlds created before installing will not include the new biomes unless regenerated or added via datapack tools.
- Armor reuses vanilla iron visuals; custom textures can be dropped into
assets/goblinmobs/textures/models/armor/if desired.
