Mending 2 plugin for Paper 1.21.10
Features
- Adds a “Mending II” variant by treating Mending level 2 as the upgraded enchantment.
- Combine two vanilla Mending I enchanted books in an anvil to get a Mending II book (other stored enchants on those books are preserved).
- Items with Mending II repair at twice the normal rate (roughly half the XP cost) while standard Mending I behavior stays unchanged.
Usage
- Place two Mending I enchanted books in an anvil; the result slot will show a Mending II book with the same additional enchants the inputs had and a level cost of 4.
- Apply the Mending II book to any item that normally supports Mending; the tooltip will display “Mending II.”
- When collecting XP orbs, items with Mending II consume the same XP but restore double durability compared to Mending I, leaving more leftover XP for the player.
Notes and limitations
- Only books are upgraded; combining other item types leaves vanilla anvil behavior intact.
- Loot tables, trades, and enchanting tables are untouched—Mending II is only attainable via the book-combining recipe.
- Mending II scaling is fixed at double efficiency even if higher levels are granted through commands.
