Metallurgy 4 Reforged
Overview
Metallurgy 4 Reforged brings the classic Minecraft mod to modern versions, adding a massive variety of new metals and alloys to discover across all three dimensions. From the depths of the Overworld to the treacherous Nether and mysterious End, you'll find dozens of unique ores waiting to be mined, processed, and crafted into powerful materials.
Features
80+ New Metals and Alloys - Mine ores like Tin, Silver, Mithril, and Adamantine, then combine them to create powerful alloys such as Steel, Bronze, and Electrum
Dimensional Ore Generation - Discover different metals in each dimension:
- Overworld: Base metals like Tin, Zinc, and Manganese plus fantasy metals like Prometheum and Mithril
- Nether: Unique metals like Ignatius, Shadow Iron, and Sanguinite
- The End: Rare Ender metals like Eximite and Meutoite
Complete Processing Chain - Crush ores into dusts for efficient smelting, then combine different metal dusts to create alloys with unique properties
Storage Blocks - Craft your ingots into decorative storage blocks to show off your wealth
Tools and Armor - Basic placeholder items for swords, helmets, chestplates, leggings, and boots (full functionality coming soon)
How to Use
-
Finding Ores: Explore caves, the Nether, and the End to discover new ore types. Each metal has its own generation height and rarity
-
Mining: Use an appropriate pickaxe - stone-level for common metals, iron for mid-tier, and diamond for rare materials
-
Processing: Smelt raw ores in a furnace to get ingots, or process them into dusts for more advanced crafting
-
Creating Alloys: Combine dusts in a crafting grid:
- Bronze = 3 Copper + 1 Tin
- Brass = 3 Copper + 1 Zinc
- Steel = 3 Iron + 1 Manganese
- Electrum = 1 Gold + 1 Silver
-
Storage: Convert your ingots into blocks for compact storage (9 ingots = 1 block)
Tips & Tricks
- Rare metals like Adamantine, Mithril, and Tartarite spawn deeper underground - bring plenty of pickaxes!
- The Nether contains some of the most valuable metals - explore there once you have fire protection
- Don't throw away your dusts - they're essential for creating the best alloys
- Check your creative inventory tab "Metallurgy 4 Reforged" to see all available items
Known Limitations
- Advanced tool and armor stats are placeholders - they work as basic items but don't have special properties yet
- Custom machines (Crusher and Alloyer) are decorative blocks only - use crafting tables and furnaces for now
- World generation uses vanilla ore spawning - custom ore generation will be added in a future update
- Recipes are manual crafting only - automated processing coming soon
Note: This is a port of the classic 1.12.2 Metallurgy 4 mod. Many features are being rebuilt for modern Minecraft versions, so expect regular updates adding more functionality!
