Wind Gust Mod

Overview

Wind Gust adds a magical Wind Staff to your Minecraft server that lets you dash through the air like a breeze! Hold the staff, give it a right-click, and WHOOSH—you're launched forward with cool wind particle effects trailing behind you.

Features

• Wind Staff Item - A special staff that launches you forward on command
• Wind Particle Effects - GUST and CLOUD particles create a dramatic wind burst when you use it
• 2-Second Cooldown - Prevents spamming so you can't just fly across the world instantly
• About 5-Block Dash - Just enough to cross gaps or dodge attacks
• Normal Fall Damage - Be careful where you land!

How to Use

Getting the Wind Staff

Since this is a server-side mod, you'll need to obtain the Wind Staff through:

• Creative mode inventory (Combat tab)
• Server commands like /give @p windgust:wind_staff
• Custom server loot tables or shops

Using the Wind Staff

1. Hold the Wind Staff in your main hand
2. Look in the direction you want to dash
3. Right-click to activate
4. Feel the wind launch you forward!
5. Wait 2 seconds for the cooldown before using it again

Pro Tips

• The staff launches you slightly upward too, so you can use it to scale small heights
• Time your dashes to cross rivers, ravines, or escape from mobs
• Fall damage still applies, so aim for safe landing spots!
• The staff works great in combination with elytra for extended flight

Known Limitations

• The staff has a simple stick appearance (uses vanilla stick texture) since this is a server-side mod
• No custom crafting recipe included—server admins need to configure how players obtain it
